Meet Our Founder

Julian Riley is a second-generation St. Petersburg native. He graduated in 2003 from Lakewood High School, was highly recruited in football, and earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of Florida. He studied Mass Communication at UF for three years and finished his Undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida with a minor in Finance. After his college studies and a short stint in the NFL and arena football, Julian moved home to care for his mother during her battle with lupus, where he learned firsthand about some of the challenges experienced with accessing culturally sensitive care. This jumpstarted his journey of building bridges to affordable and quality healthcare.

During the height of the COVID pandemic, Julian worked as a part of a collective with the Department of Health, the Urban League, Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Jewish Family and Children Services, Simply Healthcare, Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg, faith-based organizations, and others to distribute more than 3,662 vaccinations to residents in low vaccination zip codes throughout Pinellas.

Now, We Care LF Inc. works alongside a number of organizations serving communities, including a partnership with People Empowering and Restoring Communities (PERC) which operates the sole infectious disease elimination program in Pinellas County.

Aside from his professional work, Julian is deeply involved in the community in a number of ways supporting our youth. He is a coach and mentor at a local high school and a member of the Advisory Board for G3 Life Applications, Inc. a 501 (c) 3 non-profit holistic mentoring organization that focuses on training, motivating, and empowering our youth by cultivating the Spiritual, Mental, and Physical attributes and qualities of ALL participants.

He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated.
